an Exhibition featuring selected artists from the 2012 Exhibitions
Charlotte Brayley My paintings are inspired by my childhood and my very fortunate and often eccentric surroundings! I have a fantastic mother who encourages and inspires me...she worked in television My paintings are often described as nostalgic - it is through my use of colour and simple drawing style that I hope to create a painting that is reminiscent of old-styled illustrations
Of course, I would be lost without my pets and other family members! They are my muses that often pop up in paintings; George my lovely pet sheep who was born during the Foot and Mouth outbreak, Betty the bold bull terrier who is an everyday bundle of hilarity. Daphne is my Labrador who is a constant source of jolly-hockey sticks attitude, nothing fazes her. Mossiemoley is the Westie that hates anything that flies higher than he can jump or fly! Sadly, some of my beloved pets are up in animal heaven now, so the new members of the family are my muses for future paintings...watch this space!
