JOE SMERNIKKI
Joe Smernicki graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in 1973, having gained a High Commendation in his Post- graduate year. Since then he has worked as an Art teacher in the Tayside area, whilst continuing with his own painting. He currently lives in Montrose and has recently retired from his post as Head of Expressive Arts in Arbroath Academy to pursue his own painting activities.

JOHN NELSON
John was born in Edinburgh and studied at Edinburgh College of Art. While there he was awarded a number of painting and drawing prizes which included the Andrew Grant Scholarship. A Post Graduate Travelling Scholarship took him to France, Holland and Belgium, creating the basis for exhibitions in these countries.
