It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that David Morrison passed away Sunday 25th September. We will miss him firstly as a friend and also in the gallery as great Artist. His memory will live on in the fantastic work he leaves behind. He wont be forgotten.


David Morrison 1958 - 2011
Brought up surrounded by boats David often includes the subject in his work, brightly coloured hulls appear frequently on the horizon & sometimes take over the painting completely. The juxtaposition of colour in his painterely technique delight the viewer even in his popular pastel work . Drawing is the sound basis for all good paintings, Davids work demonstrates this to perfection.

Norman Laird
graduated from the Architucture department at the Glasgow School of Art where drawing & painting were part of the study. Since then Norman’s work has been influenced by living amidst the mountain scenery of Argyll, it has inspired the artist who enjoys the ever changing light & atmospheric changes over the structures of rock, trees & hills around him. He has been painting landscapes & seascapes full time for many years & has developed his own style. He continues to exhibit his work widely throughout Scotland.
