An Exhibition of Highly Talented Local Artists
Elizabeth Bruce & Jackie Stevenson Two PAI Members will be showing their latest work at Juno Design Gallery from 24 March to 18 May. Elizabeth Bruce is known for her colourful still life Acrylics and her new work is a variation on this theme, using a more restricted palette. Jackie Stevenson has recently moved to Ardentinny and paints beautiful, atmospheric Scottish landscapes in mixed media. Open Studios fans may already be aware of their work and won’t want to miss this chance to catch up with what they’ve been working on most recently. Both Liz and Jackie are experiencing a particularly good spell, professionally speaking. Having been accepted as Artist Members of Paisley Art Institute in October 2017, they have each now been awarded a week’s Residency at Cove Park, which is an Artists’ Retreat, providing Residencies for all kinds of creative people, both national and international, to work on their plans for the future. See www.covepark.org Cove Park was founded in 1999 and is dedicated to the professional development of individuals and groups working in the arts and creative industries. It aims to provide artists with the time, space and freedom to experiment and develop their practice/ideas and/or to create new work. Their list of visiting artists is very long and impressive and includes some big names like Margaret Attwood. Liz and Jackie are delighted to be joining this illustrious group and are grateful to the Burgh Hall and Creative Scotland for providing the great opportunity that these Residencies offer them. They are both looking forward to showing the resulting work at the Burgh Hall in August.
