The coves and the landscape of Cornwall have and continue to provide an endless source of inspiration to Lawrence, allowing him to achieve a dynamic and contemporary collection of pieces that are entirely his own. The designs take a direct
influence in nature and the seashore, harbour life and the movement of the sea, also from summer pastimes and the style of surfing. Carefully nurtured forms hold colour and respond to natural light,
others frame scenes, an image or a memory. More often than not, as with a painting or a sculpture, the owner responds by seeing what only they themselves see in the piece, making it a very personal item.
